~I think that the minor characters affect the major characters by bothering them not to go to war. The don't want to to die. They also affect the major characters by Henry or Dan loving their family and friends they don't want to leave, or the will keep thinking about their friends.
2. I disagree with Henry going to war. I would have not gone. I do not like war and do not like dying either. I think it was a big mistake! He might die and won't have a chance to return home.
3. This story changes me thinking because when I predict one thing, a different thing happens.

Taylor-
You have some good ideas, but they are not developed. Minor characters affect major characters in so many ways...lots more examples would strengthen your writing. Always proof your work. Many of the grammar mistakes would then be avoided.

Individual Assignment #1
  1. Name the major character(s). Name the minor character(s). In what ways do the minor character(s) affect the main character(s)?
  2. What decision(s) has a character made that you totally disagree with. Tell why you disagree with it.
  3. How does this story change your thinking?
This should be an ongoing assignment throughout the week. As you read more chapters, add more information.
